1. Provider and scope
These terms govern use of USDB2. The provider and contact point are identified on the operator page. They apply to new accounts when accepted during registration and to existing accounts only after legally effective notice or express acceptance. Other terms apply only when expressly agreed. Mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.
2. Account and minimum age
You must be at least 16, provide accurate information, and protect your credentials. Accounts may not be transferred or used for another person. Report suspected misuse promptly.
3. Acceptable use
Illegal content, harassment, deception, bypassing access or security controls, malware, abusive automation, and infringement of third-party rights are prohibited. This does not prohibit conduct permitted by mandatory law.
4. Contributions and licence
Submit only content you may lawfully use and share. You retain your rights and grant the provider, for as long as the contribution is published, a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, technically adapt, review, make available, and distribute it through the website, API, downloads, and Git mirrors as needed to operate the collaborative catalog. Mandatory moral rights remain unaffected.
5. Moderation and decisions
Content and accounts may be reviewed, corrected, merged, demoted, rejected, suspended, or removed where necessary to enforce these terms, protect others, or meet legal duties. Authorized people make decisions; automated checks may flag spam, abuse, or security risks but do not finally decide legal notices. Where required by law, affected people receive reasons and available remedies.
6. Notices and complaints
Report allegedly illegal content through the notice form, identifying the exact URL, reasons, and contact details. The status page acknowledges receipt and notices are reviewed promptly, diligently, and objectively. Reporters can request reconsideration using the reference and submitted email through the appeal form. Statutory remedies available to affected users remain unaffected. Ordinary catalog corrections belong in comments or moderation.
7. Availability and liability
USDB2 is a free community service and continuous availability is not promised. Keep copies of important data. Liability for intent, gross negligence, injury to life, body or health, and mandatory statutory liability remains unlimited. Otherwise statutory liability rules apply; these terms exclude no mandatory claim.
8. Ending use
You may close your account through available account functions or by contacting the provider. The provider may restrict or close accounts for serious or repeated breaches, with urgent protective action remaining possible. Revision, moderation, and evidence records may remain as described in the Privacy Policy.
9. Changes
Material changes receive a new version and effective date and will be notified appropriately before taking effect. Where consent is legally required, silence or continued use alone will not constitute consent. Non-material clarifications and mandatory legal changes may be made with reasonable notice.
10. Law
German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. For consumers, this choice does not remove mandatory protection under the law of their habitual residence. Statutory venue rules apply.
